GET STARTED

Not every struggle looks the same.

Some of the young people we see are high-achieving and appear confident and composed, but are quietly carrying a load no one else can see. Others wear their overwhelm more openly, battling anxiety or frustration over things that seem effortless for everyone else.

Wherever your child or teen falls on that spectrum, you’re in the right place.

At Nex Gen Therapy, we see kids ages 6 and up, and we tailor every session to meet them where they are.

Our work focuses on helping young people:

We believe therapy should be flexible, creative, and real.

Sometimes that looks like taking a walk with a therapy dog, doing art, or simply having a conversation that feels safe and unforced.

However it unfolds, our goal is to help each child, teen, or young adult feel seen, supported, and capable of handling life’s challenges.

Co-FOUNDERS

At Nex Gen Therapy, we understand how overwhelming it can be to watch a teen or young adult struggle with anxiety, depression, executive dysfunction, perfectionism, or simply the pressure to “have it all together.” Whether your child is silently falling apart while looking “fine” on the outside, or visibly overwhelmed by school, relationships, or chronic illness, our team is here to walk alongside them (and you).

We built this practice on a simple mission: to offer authentic, whole-person care that accepts young people exactly where they are, not where the world expects them to be. Between us, we bring decades of clinical experience in dual diagnosis treatment, chronic illness research, family therapy, youth mentorship, and school advocacy. But beyond credentials, we’re also siblings who’ve lived through our own family’s mental health journey and know what it takes to support healing at every level of the system.

Therapy here is different. It won’t happen in a stiff chair. It might be a session on a peaceful trail, creating a mood board, or simply sitting on the floor playing a game to build trust. Our team prioritizes genuine connection because when a young person feels safe and seen, true positive change becomes possible.

MEET THE TEAM

How we support your teen

Our team focuses on creating strong, trusting relationships with every teen and young adult we work with.

We know how important it is for young people to feel respected, heard, and truly safe before anything meaningful can happen in therapy. That’s why we start by getting to know each client as a whole person, not just the challenges they’re facing.

Together, we focus on helping them:

  • Identify personal triggers and stuck patterns.

  • Develop practical coping skills for anxiety, depression, and stress.

  • Strengthen self-trust and personal confidence.

  • Address perfectionism, intense self-criticism, low self-esteem, and social pressure.

  • Create space for honest conversations about identity, chronic illness, substance use, family dynamics, and growing independence.

Every session is designed around their unique needs, whether they’re quietly holding it all in or visibly overwhelmed by everything around them.

Individual Therapy
